The past week

I have fallen behind on posting about our visits. This past week we were able to make several visits.

Sunday Feb. 8
We were at our home church for the morning service, it was good to be with our church family.

We visited Crooked Creek Baptist near Athens, for the evening service. Pastor Tom Miles preached a message on not looking back and keeping our focus on Heaven.

Wednesday Feb.11
We visited Grace Baptist Church in Dacula GA. We have several friends that are members at this church, we felt at home with all of our old friends. Grace has started the Financial Peace program by Dave Ramsey. We had the chance to sit in on the class. I found this to be a real blessing. We have become debt free by following the guidelines that Dave Ramsey uses. I have thought about using his material for a debt class in our own church, so I was glad I was able to see a sample of the class.

Thursday Feb. 12
I visited Messiah Baptist Church in Athens Ga. This is a start up church, that is only 2 years old. The pastor is Daniel Simms. He is a powerful Preacher, and his church family is very friendly and loving. I look forward to returning back to Messiah Baptist, and working with them.

Sunday Feb. 15
We visited Meadowbrook Baptist in Lawrenceville Ga. for the morning service. Meadowbrook is searching for a Pastor at the time. I was not aware of their need when we visited, but God has a reason for leading us there. A missionary main job while on deputation is to be a blessing to the churches he visits. I was able to offer this church my help if they needed it. They are filling their services with visiting preachers, until they find the man that God has for them. Please pray for them as they search for their Pastor.

I visited Victory Baptist Church in Lawrenceville Ga. for the evening service. Pastor Roland Jackson and Victory Baptist Church were hosting New Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Ted Dunnigan. Pastor Dunnigan preached the message, and all I can say is he is truly a "firecracker" of a preacher. I look forward to meeting with him and visiting his church in the near future.
