Sunday May,17

I visited Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga on Sunday. I didn't visit as a Missionary looking for support; I visited as a friend looking to support a friend. Meadowbrook Baptist Church, received a new Pastor on Saturday night, when William Jackson was ordained. Although he had been preaching at Meadowbrook for several weeks, Sunday was his first day as Pastor. I know how it feels, to step behind a pulpit with a group of people you do not really know yet. I made the decision to be at Meadowbrook to support a friend.

Pastor Jackson, preached with the fire that most of today's preachers only hear about, when they hear stories of the men who now only preach on tape, or in the books they authored before they passed away. He has an excitement about preaching, that we all need today. I look forward to seeing what God does through him, and I look forward to helping him whenever, and wherever I can.

I trust you will pray for them as they continue on their paths.

Saturday May,16

I was honored and blessed to attend the Ordination service of William Jackson. It was a true honor to be one of the 15 Ordained Preachers, who stood for him, and for this service. Pastor Jackson as he is now known, is a third generation Pastor, his Father Roland Jackson moderated the service at Victory Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga. The same church that Bro. Roland's Father had started.

I have known Bro. Will for about 18 years, and I have known his wife Carla since Elementary school. I am excited to see a "new" warrior on the battlefield, and I trust you will pray for them as they lead Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Ga.
